NEW REGENT

“FIREMEN, SAVE MY CHILD” The most famous comedy team in the history of motion pictures has been reunited. Wallace Beery and Raymond llatton, the pair of laugh-makers which set the world in an uproar of joy in “Behind the Front,” and “We’re in the Navy Now,” appear together once more in “Firemen, Save My Child,” which will be shown for two more days at the New Regent Theatre. To make the reunion complete, the entire production line-up which scored so heavily in the two earlier pictures, was behind the camera for “Firemen, Save My Child.” Edward Sutherland, who directed the two previous BeeryHatton triumphs, again wielded the megaphone. Monty Brice, who was comedy constructor on these two pictures, and has since been elevated to the post of director, laid down his megaphone for this production, and served as he did before, creating comedy situations. On the vaudeville side, Russo and Bradford, operatic vocalists, are delighting audiences with their colourful performance. Signor Übaldo Russo is a briliant Italian baritone, while Madame Lynda Bradford is the well-known contralto. Their numbers include duets from “Ernani” and “II Trovatore,” the Toreador song from “Carmen,” and popular ballads.
