NOTES In his talk on the prospects of the Hamilton trotting meeting from IYA on Friday evening, Mr. Craig, the trotting expert of THE SUN, was again successful in picking a large proportion of the winners. Those who follow the horses are surprised by the unfailing regularity with which Mr. Craig is able to single out the winners from a crowded held, and are following his talks closely. This new feature of the local programmes has been welcomed by the large numbers who are unable to study the question of form as closely as they wish. It is stated that the short wave station, 2ME, at Caterham, Kent, owned by Mr. Gerald Marcuse, will be carrying out experimental transmissions until April next in accordance with the terms or’ the licence. 2ME is on 32.5 metres at present, but may change to 28 metres shortly. The station transmits on Tuesdays and Sundays at 6 o’clock and on Sundays only from 18 to 20 o’clock, Greenwich Mean Time. These times correspond to 6.39 p.m. (N.Z. Summer Time) on Tuesday and Sundays and from 6.30 to 8.30 a.ri. on Mondays. The programme broadcast from 4QG this evening will consist of a radio drama, “Winds in the Sands.” This is a threeact drama in which the central figures are Red Indians, and shows their life both in the mountain homes and in the cities in contact with the white race. Music of genuine Red Indian origin is to be played throughout. The author, a well-known radio dramatist, will be in charge of the production.
