BLACK ADMIRAL’S PROSPECTS
AT the Wellington Summer fixture last year Black Admiral won the Electric Handicap, 10 furlongs, from the front peg in 2.45, registering his handicap time. On Saturday, with a 2.46 limit, Black Admiral is 24 yards behind, and if M. B. Edwards elects to start the son of Brent Locanda at Hutt Park, he will be sure of a strong measure of support from Wellingtonians. The Admiral, it will be remembered, was second to Prince Pointer at Petone’s last fixture in the New Zealand Cup trial heat.
