Giles Delays Flight Till Spring Season
BACKER ANNOYED By Cable. —Press Association. — Copyright. ! Received 10. IS a.m. SAN FRANCISCO, Friday. ! Captain F. A. Giles announced on Friday that he recommended to his backer, Mr. W. Rosewarne, that the New Zealand flight be postponed until the spring “upon the advices of j local authorities.” It is expected that a decision will be reached on Monday. Advices from Detroit quote Mr. Rose- j warne as saying: “I haven’t received j a recommendation that the flight be j postponed, but if the Press reports ! are correct my reaction will result in i the entire abandonment of the pro- { ject.” He refused to comment further until Captain Giles’s report was received. —A. and N.Z.
