OLD-TIME DANCE
PONSONBY TO-NIGHT The Grey Lynn Labour Party will hold its “Best of All” old-time dance in the O’Neill Street Hall, Ponsonby, to-night. Lance patrons who prefer the old time to the modern jazz will find all that makes the recreation enjoyable at this gathering. Paltridge’s Orchestra supplies excellent music, and this, with a fine floor, contributes greatly to the evening’s pleasure. Afterwards there is a free bus to Point Chevalier. Norma Talmadge’s first United Artists’ picture is “The Love,” in which she plays the part of Lolores Romero, a dance-hall singer who is called the Love, because of her gentle ways. The setting is in Costa Roja, which is a mythical country combining traits of Mexican border towns.
