HOT FOOTBALL

BATTLE BETWEEN PARTISANS ROUGH MOB AT GLASGOW Thousands of people were thrown into a panic in Glasgow on a recont Saturday, when rival gangs of football fans commenced a running fight after the Glasgow Cup final, in which Celtic beat Rangers. As the 85,000 spectators were leaving the ground the fighting brofce out, stones and bottles being thrown, and sticks and razors brandished. Onlookers fled in alarm, entering shops for safety, and even begging sanctuary in private houses: many shopkeepers closed their doors, so great was the crush. Mounted police soon appeared and at once the gangsters fled. Two arrests were made.
