THE HAWKE CUP
CRICKET COUNCIL’S PROPOSALS Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. Several proposals which had a heaving on the Hawke Cup competition, lor decision among the minor associations of Xew Zealand, were before a meeting of the Management Committee of'the Xew Zealand Cricket Council last night. The proposals were held over pending receipt of opinions from the associations regarding a resolution forwarded by the sub-com-mittee from the conference of minor associations that there should be a second competition open to the lower divisions of the minor associations, which would be classified for that purpose according to playing strength.
