CLAY BIRD SHOOTING

AUCKLAND CHAMPION IN FORM (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Sunday. W. J. McMiken, the Auckland provincial champion, added further to his laurels when he won the club championship at the final clay-bird shooting competition of the year held by the Hamilton Gun Club at Ruakura yesterday. In the club championship contest of 21 birds there were 10 entries, and McMiken won the contest with the possible. J. Anderson was second with 20

birds, and C. Seddon third with 19 bird.

W. O’Kane won the No. 1 shoot, seven birds, with the possible, and J. Anderson and E. Green tied for second place with six birds. There were 13 entries. With nine birds each, W. J. McMiken and G. Peach tied in the third round of the T. Reid Cup competition, 10 birds. There were 11 entries. W. J. McMiken, G. Peach, C. Seddon and A. Woolven competed in the final round, G. Peach winning the trophy with nine birds.
