SATURDAY’S SHOOTING THE AKARANA CLUB The Akarana Rifle Club held its second series for trophies presented by Messrs. F. Kearsley, E. J. C. Reston, and F. Atkinson on Saturday, over distances of 600 and 700 yards. Silver spoons were won by G. G. Ashley, T. Elliott, jun., and R. Pye. Results are: A Section (Mr. F. Kearsley’s trophy).— G. G. Ashley, 44 at 600 yards, and 41 at 700yds, total 85; C. Ashley, 44, 89—83; F. Wakefield, 41, 41—82; W. Colquhoun, 42, 40—82; A. Crossan, 43, 39—52; J. R. Draffln, 40, 3S—7B; A. H. Dixon, 42, 36 78; H. Dickey, 40, 37—77; F. Atkinson, 42, 35—77; C. Monro, 37, 34—71; A. W. Powell, 35, 35—70; A. Hughes, 34, 35—69; S. Elliott, 42, 25 —67. B Section (Mr. E. J. C.
