Round the Churches

Holy Communion will be celebrated at 8 a.m. and 11 o’clock in St. Matthew’s Church, the later morning service being choral. The vicar, Canoi Grant Co wen, will be the preacher at both morning and evening services. Tho Associated Churches of Christ will hold services as usual at Ponsonby Road, Onehunga, Dominion Road Avondale, Pukekohe, Mount Albert and Devonport. Special Sunday School anniversary services will be held in connection with the Richmond Road Church. The Rev. J. J. Lewis and Mr. E. W. Burch will be the speakers at the ; morning and evening services, respec- I tively of the Edendale Presbyterian Church. The Rev. J. Pattison will speak at the Somervell Presbyterian Church at both morning and evening services. In the evening he will preach on \ “Points From the General Assembly.” j The usual services in connection with the Church of Christ, Scientist, will be conducted to-morrow | in the church hall, Symonds Street. The subject of the address will bo ; “Ancient and Modern Necromancy, ' Alias Mesmerism and Hypnotism, Denounced.” The Church of True Spiritual Light will held a service in the 1.0.0. F. Hall, Pitt Street, at 7 p.m., when Nurse Clayton will speak on "Obsession, Spiritualism and Insanity.” A psychology class will be held on Thursday. Where Two Worlds Meet” will be | the suoject taken by Mrs. Harrisi Roberts at the Spiritual Scientists Church, Newton Chambers. Other meetings will be held on Wednesday and Saturday. At both services at the Grange Koad Baptist Church, the Rev. A. S. Wilson will be the speaker. In the morning he will preach on "The Dishonour of Neutrality” and there will be a baptismal service in the evening. Mr. A. H. Dallimore, of Vancouver, will be the speaker at the meeting of the Young Men's Christian Association building on Sunday afternoon. Mr. 11. B. Bristow will conduct the morning service at the Royal Oak Baptist Church to-morrow. The Rev. B. N. Wilson will preach in the evening at a song service.
