SUBURBAN CRICKET
} AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION FINISHING TIME OF MATCHES SOLE SELECTOR APPOINTED At last night’s meeting of the Auck- j land Suburban Cricket Association. Mr. j J. F. W. Dickson, presiding, it was de- j cided in- future to finish all games at j 7 p.m. The opinion was expressed that j 7.15 p.m. was too late, as it encroached j too far into the evenings. The invitation of the Wellington City i and Suburban Association to send a ! representative team to the tournament j in Wellington during the Christmas holidays was accepted. It was decided to invite the Waipa J Cricket Association to play a match at ; Auckland at Christmas against an r Auckland junior rep. team. Mr. A. H. Brown was appointed sole j selector of the Auckland senior j representative team. The hon. secretary. Mr. E. Stallworthy, reported that satisfactory arrangements had been made with the Auckland Hockey Association for the use of cricket pitches at Remuera. The secretary’s action was confirmed, the satisfactory natLire of the terms being favourably commented upon. '
