AUSTRALIAN TROUBLES BAVIN SEEKS REMEDY AWARDS OF FEDERAL COURT By Cable.— Pi'ess Association. — -Coyyrtgnt Reed. 10-. IS a.rn. .. .SYDNEY, To-day. The. Premier of New South Wales, - Mr. T. R. Bavin, is consulting the Premiers of the respective .States With the object of making joint representations to the Commonwealth Government regarding the overlapping of awards, and' the conflicting industrial legislation. Mr. Bavin .hap already had a conference with Federal Ministers, at which he pointed out that the Federal Industrial Arfdti-atiqn Court, and its control over the . railways had added £1,200,000 annually to the running costs of; the State railways, and the States had no control whatever over this court. It- was creating grave difficulties to the States, having two independent and imep-ordinated authorities controlling the different sections of the railway services; The Federal Prime Minister, Mr. Stanley Bruce, stated that he was prepared to consider any representations made on the subject by the States.— A. and N,Z.
