“WEDDING BILLS” Eight years ago Raymond Griffith was best man at the wedding of Hallam Cooley. He was, Cooley’s best man again today, but this time it was all in fun, Cooley being neither a bigamist nor a widower, nor divorced. The two funsters are playing together in “Wedding Bills/’ Griffith’s next starring picture for Paramount. Cooley has the 'part of Griffith’s pal, and Griffith is the man who is always going to everybody’s wedding but his own, until the girl who is different happens into his life and wrecks his bachelor philosophy. “Wedding Bills”'* is just about the funniest picture the comedian with the big tall hat has done. Laughs and thrills are mixed in just the right proportion. The picture introduces a new leading" lady, Ann Sheridan, a blonde beauty for whom the critics predict a great future. John M. Stahl has begun production on “In Old Kentucky,” with James Murray in the leading male role and Helene Costello playing the leading lady. This Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer picture is a screen version of the venerable stage play of racing life.
