WILL LOOK OVER AUCKLAND ROADS
VISITOR FROM AUSTRALIA EN ROUTE TO AMERICA ARMED with credentials from Sir Tom Bridges, the soldier Governor of South Australia, and accompanied by a small movie camera, Mr. C. W. Lloyd, of South Australia, is on his way to the United States and Canada- to learn all he can about modern road-making methods. Mr. Lloyd, who arrived in Auckland to-day by the Niagara, lost no time in getting in touch with Messrs Chapman and Bevan, of the Neuchatel Asphalt Company, to see what lie could of Auckland roads. “I was particularly interested to see as much as possible of Auckland, because of the work you have carried out here both with asphalt and cement,” said Mr. Lloyd, who goes abroad on a special commission for the South Australian Government. He is a member of the executive committee of the National Roads Association of Australia, and a councillor for Western Districts, Adelaide. After completing his investigations in America, Mr. Lloyd hopes to return via Auckland about March.
