MAN’S SUICIDE ATTEMPT RESCUED BY PASSERS-BY 17REDERICK SIBBE, aged 62. A was tired of life yesterday, but he was thwarted in his attempt to jump from Grafton Bridge. A sad and bewildered man, he pleaded guilty at the Police Court today to a charge of attempting to commit suicide. Senior-Sergeant McCarthy said he had been out of work for some time. He took drink yesterday and went to Grafton Bridge. He climbed to the parapet and was about to leap over when passers-by pulled him back. He was remanded to appear on Monday for sentence.
