The repair of flood damag ! on Mountain Road was almost com pleted, but it would be necessary t remove a large slip which had recentl blocked the road. ! The Takapun Borough Councl had filled the roadwa 1 across the Wairau Estuary and it woul soon be possible to traverse the who! I length by motor-car. j
