GIRL DEAD, MAN BADLY WOUNDED BRISBANE OCCURRENCE By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 10.25 a.m. BRISBANE, To-day. Phyllis Miller and Reginald Vaughan went for a drive in a motorcar on Wednesday night, and as they did not return the police were informed. In the morning a search was instituted, and the empty car was located at the side of the road. The dead body of the girl was found in a gulley near by, and 80 yards away Vaughan was found with a severe bullet wound in his head. He was unconscious, and unable to make a statement.

The girl had been shot in the head, and had apparently been dead for some time.—A. and N.Z.
