AUCKLAND’S BALANCE SHEET

If Auckland City Corporation were sold up to-morrow it would realise nearly a mililon pounds above its liabilities. The general balance sheet, a documeut which occupies seven pages of close type in setting out the finances of the citv, has just been returned from the auditors, and a copy was released to THE SUN by the Town Clerk, Mr. J. S. Brigham, this morning. The following summarises the city’s position and provides a highly interesting statement of the finances at the end of the financial year, March 31:
