HOWICK ANNIVERSARY

CELEBRATIONS POSTPONED At a well-attended public meeting held in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Howick, on Wednesday evening, to consider the advisability of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of Howick, it was formally agreed that the celebration be deferred till November of next year. It was decided that a meeting be called on the first Wednesday of February, 1928, and delegates be invited from all the sports bodies and societies of the town, to commence making arrangements for the function. Mr. J. Crawford, chairman of the Town Board, occupied the chair.
