A new development in the Fall- : Sinclair oil-fraud case, and the subsequent jury-tampering charges, occurred when Judge Siddons appointed a committee of three members of the Bar to investigate the activities leading to his recent declaration of a mistrial. and to institute criminal proceedings against the guilty persons if the findings warrant that. The judge's action is takeu s indicating that proceedings for contempt of court are likely to be given against a number of persons allegedly involved. United States Attorney Gordon, who has been leading the Gov - ernment’s investigation of alleged jury-tampering, is included in the committee.
