PROPOSED REGULATIONS

! WELCOMED BY MOTORISTS The proposed Government regulations governing motor traffic throughout the Dominion have been favourably received by Auckland motorists. In conversation yesterday, Mr. F. G. Farrell, president of the Auckland Motor Traders’ Association, said that he was in full acoord with the proposals. He considered that tne speeds, lights, and braking tests, etc., were just, and that the uniformity of signalling and of the offside rule was all for the best. “As motorists, we want to see the right thing done,” said Mr. Farrell, and added that he thought the proposals made for greater safety to pedestrians as well as convenience to motorists. General satisfaction seems to be the opinion of other leaders in the motor world. Suggestions may be made for minor amendments, but the general thought is that the Government is to be congratulated on drawing up suggestions that are so widely acceptable.
