DISTINGUISHED GIRL

SUCCESS AT AMBULANCE COMPETITIONS (Special to THE SUN.) WANGANUI, Monday. Miss Betty Facer, who did important war service at Home, and distinguished herself in Wanganui by jumping from the Dublin Street Bridge in an endeavour to save a man’s life, has again come into prominence. She headed the ambulance team which went to Wellington for competition with other Dominion centres, and succeeded in securing two firsts, a second, a third, and a fourth. Miss Facer is a great enthusiast in her work. Her hospital service during the war, and her association with the St. John Ambulance Brigade at Home, has helped materially to place the Wanganui branch in its present efficient position.
