OBJECTION TO REVISED PRAYER BOOK FURTHER DEMANDS CERTAIN By Cable.—Press Association.- — Copyright. Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Sunday. The Home Secretary, Sir William Joynson-Hicks, who is expected to be the Evangelicals’ chief spokesman wheu the revised Prayer Book is before Parliament, has sent an important memorandum to the Parliamentary Ecclesiastical Committee opposing ratification on the ground that-it cannot be a final revision, as the Bishops have not undertaken to enforce obedience to it T Therefore it will inevitably be used as a jumping-off ground for further demands by advocates of Romanising practices.—A. and N.Z.
