WOULD RATEPAYERS RISE TO “TIN-HARE” BAIT?
“TT seems that the only way to get borough ratepayers interested in meetings would be to advertise a tin hare fixture to go with it,” said Mr. J. W. Hayden, of the Waitemata Power Bc. rd, lamenting the apathy in the boroughs toward the £BO,OOO loan meetings. A member suggested advertising “smoke concert to follow,” to see if that would bring the crowds.
