NOT DONE EVERY DAY
An extraordinary incident occurred in a tennis match in the United States recently. The game lasted for over three hours, and during the second set one of the players employed a chop stroke with so much spin that the ball landed in his opponent’s court, and rebounded back across the net. His opponent, who had charged up from the back-court, hurdled the net without touching it, and scored a kill from the first man’s court. The .indge awarded, tne point on tne ground that the second player had not touched the net, and that he was entitled to chase a live ball to any part of the court.
