HOWIE—WRIGHT
A wedding of interest to many Northern folk was quietly celebrated on Wednesday a.t the residence of Air. A. Gray, Tirau, between Air. Gavin James Watt Howie, of Hunterville, and Aliss Nora Wright, late of Christchurch. The bride was given away by Air. A. Gray, and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. Brabyn. A delightful wedding breakfast was served, at which the guests duly honoured tho old-time toasts. Air. Howie has been a prominent footballer in his district for several years, and a representative in touring teams. The couple left by the Rotorua express for Auckland on the first part of their honeymoon. The bride travelled in a grey and blue marocain costume, grey and blue marocain hat, grey shoes, and stockings. Air. and Airs. Howie will at an early date take up their residence ai Okoroirc.
