SHOUTS FOR WORK
SCENE IN N.S.W. PARLIAMENT GENERAL UPROAR By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. SYDNEY, Tuesday. There was an extraordinary scene in the State Parliament to-day. When the members of the Legislative Assembly met a group of unemployed men shouted from the gallery asking for work. The proceedings were suspended while policemen removed the interruptors. The scene led to a heated debate, during which a number of women interjected from the ladies’ gallery. A general uproar followed and these interjectors were removed by the Sergeant-at-Arms. Apparently it was an organised disturbance.—A. and N.Z.
