Mr. Empson’s election was carried by acclamation. It was decided that the annual subscription be 3s 6d for senior members and Is 6d for junior members under 17 years of age. The question of forming a Life-Sav-ing Club will be discussed at the next committee meeting. In reference to instruction for school children, it was the general opinion of the meeting that too much could not be done in this respect. The matter will be brought forward at the next meeting. Appreciation was expressed of the ; manner in which many residents had ■ assisted in erecting the seating ac- j commodation at the baths last season. ; The thanks of the club was due for j their public-spirited action.
