AVONDALE WORKS

TOWN HALL APPROACH Works that are being pushed ahead at Avondale by the Auckland City Council include the reconstruction of St. George’s Road and the tidying up of the playing area in Rosebank Road. The first-mentioned work w*ill supply an up-to-date approach to the town hall. This will be in bitumen, a decided improvement on the pot holes that have hitherto characterised this locality. In connection with the playing area additional equipment is to be erected. When no doubt the delayed official opening ceremony will take place.
