MARKET IN GOOD TONE OILS STILL RISING The rise in Taranaki Oils registered toward the end of last week was well maintained this morning and sales were put through up to 10s 9d, with the market closing firm. In mining, Occidental Unas have firmed up a further Id, the market at mid-day closing with an upward tendency and a strong inquiry. Waihis remain in good tone, but most other shares in this section are quiet and idle. In timbers, Kauris have weakened slightly and sellers at 24s are supported by buyers at 235. The coal section remains in good tone. Hikurangis are brighter and register a firming tendency^ The miscellaneous section is quiet and inactive. Auckland Amusement Parks are slightly easier.
