WITH THE MALLET

HENDERSON CROQUET CLUB The Henderson Croquet Club’s lawns were officially opened on Saturday afternoon by Mr. W. R. Leighton, president of the Henderson Bowling Club. On behalf of the croquet club Mr. Leighton extended a cordial welcome to the members and guests present, among whom were representatives of the Ellerslie, Mount Albert, Rawhiti and other clubs. The thanks of the bowlers was expressed to the ladies of the croquet club for the help they had given and the ladies were wished a most successful season. Mrs. H. Wright played the first ball and the greens were then declared open for play. Progressive games were played, the winners being Mrs. Woods, Ellerslie Club, and Mrs. Morton, Rawhiti.
