TAKANINI AND MANUREWA CLUBS

In view of the approaching opening of the season’s competitions, a couple of matches were arranged for Saturday by the Takanini Club. The second grade team played the Manurewa seconds at Takanini. In the first innings the home team compiled 102, Rowe, (37) registering the highest score. In its first strike, Manurewa replied with 42, the home team winning by 60 on its first innings. The ladies provided a very enjoyable afternoon tea. At Manurewa the third grade teams met. Manurewa batted first for 4C, and Takanini lost eight wickets for 107 at the call of time.
