Supreme Court Sits in Private House
WITNESS’S DISABILITIES Press Associatio7i. ASHBURTON, To-day. The unusual occurrence of a sitting of the Supreme Court being held in a private house took place this morning on the agreement of all parties, in the action of Roberts versus the Bank of New Zealand, and the remaining members of the family of the late E. G. Wright. Mr. Justice Adams decided to hear the evidence of one of the defendants, Mrs. Harriet Myra Wright, widow of the late Mr. E. G. Wright, at her residence. The parties concerned recognised that owing to Mrs. Wright’s age and physical disabilities, it would not be reasonable to ask her to attend the court at Christchurch.
