DROPS ON POISONOUS SNAKE RIO DE JANEIRO. October 2. The rubber clothing «of the famcut« Brazilian airman, Lieutenant Chevalier. saved him from probable death from the fangs of a huge poisonous snake at the end of a 6.000 ft drop in a parachute. Jumping from his plane in an effort to break the parachute jumping record, Lieutenant Chevalier made a safe landing, but alighted on a big snake, which immediately encircled his legs and arms. The airman’s rubber suit saved him from the bites of the reptile until help arrived.
