TROUT FISHING
GOOD SPORT AT TAUPO
(From Our Own Correspondent I TAUPO, Thursday.
Several fine catches of trout have been obtained following on a great improvement in the weather. Fishing from the Whizbang, Captain Mawson and Mrs. Mawson and Mr. Smith, of England, and Mr. Hayhow, landed 34 trout, Mr. Hayhow securing the limit of 15 fish. The English enthusiast, Mr. Lonsdale, and his party, had excellent sport fly-fishing from the Tainui. Another party on the Kingfisher landed 25 fish at the Aratiatia Rapids. The sport is exceptionally good for so early in the season.
