PERSONAL INCOMES LARGER
REVENUE STATISTICS By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. WASHINGTON, Thursday. The report of the Bureau of Internal Revenue shows that 117,000,000 persons in the United States had a total income of nearly £18,000,000,000 in 1926, which is an increase of approximately £5.200,000,000 since 1921. The increase per head of the income of persons gainfully employed has risen from £328 in 1921 to £442 in 1926.
The bureap says this great increase was not the result of an increase in the price level, for the actual price of consumed goods in 1926 was slightly less than in 1921.—A. and N.Z.
