Bakehouse in Flames.—A fire in a single-storey, wooden bakehouse in McCauley Street, Newton, was extinguished by the City Brigade shortly after 8 p.m. yesterday. The outbreak spread from a heap of sawdust to one side of the building, which was badly damaged. The bakehouse, which is owned by the Walton Estate trustees, is occupied by Mr. H. Barber.
