INSULT TO INJURY

THIEVES AT EPSOM A N obnoxious intruder to a house in Mount Eden yesterday afternoon added insult to injury. After turning the home of Mrs. Moore. 14 Sherborne Street, upside down, the uninvited “guest” swallowed a quart of milk, and ate a large piece of cake which was in the larder. When Mrs. Moore returned home she found everything in the house in confusion, and some cutlery and a child’s money-box missing. The home of Mrs. E. Liddell, 14 Kowhai Street, Epsom, had also been broken into yesterday, and a small sum of money stolen. A resident of Pah Road, also in Epsom, had some hanging fern baskets stolen by sneak thieves.
