FLIERS FORCED DOWN BY DESERT SANDSTORM
FLIGHT TO BAGDAD By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. BAGDAD, Tuesday. Capl. W. W. Lancaster and Mrs. Keith Miller left Ziza to-day, but a high wind causing a sandstorm, compelled them to alight at the Putba desert post. The Royal Air Force has provided them with a big Vickers-Vernon bombing airplane and it is hoped that if the weather clears the 250-mile transdesert flight to Bagdad will not present any difficulties on Wednesday.— A. and N.Z.
