OTAHUHU CROQUET CLUB
CARD TOURNAMENT A large number of card enthusiasts met at the Gas Company’s social hall, Otahuhu, last evening, when a very successful tournament was held under the auspices of the Otahuhu Croquet Club. The arrangements were in the hands of a capable women’s committee, and a most enjoyable evening’s play was provided. Prizes were awarded for both euchre and “500.” In the former the women’s first prize went to Mrs. Duane, Mrs. Seager receiving the consolation prize. In the men’s section Mr. Patrick won the first prize, and Mr. Miller the consolation. In the “500” tourney the ladies’ prize was awarded to Mrs. Munro, while Mrs. Greenwood won the consolation. The men’s first place was filled by Mr. Baxter, and the consolation prize fell to Mr. Gollen. At the close of play a dainty supper was served by the ladies, after which Mrs. J.
