Plan for Breeding WORLD SUPPLY PROPOSAL IN SYDNEY By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 9.8 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. The Auburn Borough Council received an application for permission to establish breeding-pools for walruses, crocodiles, alligators, and octopuses on land adjoining the Duck River. The object of the applicant is to supply zoological gardens and aquariums in various parts of the world. The pools will be walled in steel, so that It will be impossible for the inmates to escape. The council referred the application to its inspector.—A. and N.Z.
