BACK TO NORMAL

AUSTRALIA’S RECUPERATIVE POWERS GOOD YEAR AHEAD A great future for Queensland and West Australia is predicted by Mr. H. P. Kissling, who r-etipped to Auckland this morning after a business visit to Australia. “Recent rains have altered the outlook and the country has great recuperative powers,” said Mr. Kissling. “I saw the Northern Rivers country and the Darling Downs, and they were as green as New Zealand.” Mr. Kissling says that he saw no evidence of depression in trade. Prices this year will be better for wool and the wheat yield will be a normal one. There had been enormous losses in sheep, but this year should see things back to normal. The relief which followed the recent election in New South Wales was evident, said Mr. Kissling. Mr. Bavin, the new Premier, was a quiet, steady man with plenty of confidence, and he should be a success.
