PIGEON CLUB RACES The Cornwall Pigeon Club’s race from Taumarunui resulted in a win for Mr. Brown’s Ascot Surprise, with a velocity of 740 yards a minute; Air. Wattam’s Mexborough, 746 yards, second; Messrs. McEvoy Bros.’ Jupiter, 743 yards, third. The same club’s race from Palmerston North was won by Air. J. AlcEvoy’s Good Friday; Air. Rothery’s Clean Sweep, second; Air. Wattam’s Lady Pory, third. The Onehunga Club’s race from Huntervillc, airlin6 210 miles, was won by Air. F. McPike’s b c Heather Alaric, with a velocity of 1,186 yards a minute; Alessrs. Leng and Sons’ b li Diamond Glitter, 1,182 yards, second; Alessrs. Hansen Bros.’ b c h Blue Sapphire, 1,181 yards, third. Alessrs. Wilson and Sons’ r c c Fire Fiend was fi.rst home, but was disqualified on time allowance.
