PUKEKOHE MOTORISTS

MANY NEW MEMBERS A meeting of the executive of the Franklin branch of the Automobile Association was held on Wednesday evening, Mr. J. Fulton presiding. The secretary, Mr. M. S. Chmpbell, reported that the branch had arranged with a local solicitor to give free legal advice to members who were prosecuted for breaches of the Pukekohe borough by-laws or the Motor Vehicles Act. It was stated that since May 31, 30 new members had been enrolled, and as the result of a canvass to be made it was hoped to increase the membership more. It was decided to hold the opening run on the occasion of the official opening of the concrete highway from Auckland to Papakura.
