Cradled in buds of a delicate French-grey, the scarlet beauties will soon be disclosed—summer time is coming. I Scalded at Picnic.—Mr. Reginald Hayward, of 35 Randolph Street, Newton, had his left hand badly scalded when a tin of boiling water was overturned at Pine Island yesterday. A member of the St- John Ambulance, who happened to be present, attended to the injury. Mr. Hayward was taken to the Auckland Hospital, and after treatment was able to proceed boma.
