Canada’s Big Harvest.—The report issued by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics, says Reuter’s Ottawa correspondent, estimates the yield of wheat at 459,000,000 bushels against the previous estimate of 357,000,000 bushels; oats, 502,000,000 bushels against 420,000,000 bushels; barley, 98,000,000 bushels against 86,000,000 bushels; rye, 17,000,000 bushels, and linseed 5,000,000 bushels. Huge Earning of Canadian Railways.) —Up to the end of August the Canadian; National Railways revenue showed an increase of over £900,000 compared with 1926. The actual revenue being over £34,480,000. For the same period the Canadian Pacific revenue shows an increase of over £640,000, the actual revenue being £24,333,000. These increases are more than being absorbed in meeting the increases in railwaymen’s wages recently granted in Canada. New Zealand Frozen Meat.—The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company Limited, is in receipt of the following cablegram from its London house, dated October 28: New Zealand frozen lamb, average 9 3-Sd a lb; wether and maiden ewe, light, 6 l-8d a lb; wether and maiden ewe, heavy, s£d a lb; ewe. light, 4?d a lb; ewe, heavy, 4id a lb; market dull.
