NOTHING UNUSUAL
REGRADING EXPECTED BIGGEST “RESHUFFLE” YET Though the regrading of 1,200 men is the largest that the Railway Department has carried out, said Air. B. R. Sword, traffic adviser to the divisional superintendent, to-day, there is nothing unusual in the practice of regrading and the “shuffle” has been expected for some time. The regrading lists are now out and the positions open have been advertised in the service. Now there is open to men the right to apply for the vacancies. The regrading is the result of 12 months’ investigations and as to the result it was not out of the ordinary, said Mr. Sword, considering the possibility of transfer which railwaymen have always to expect.
