Remember the fourth of November. This is the day on which the street collection will be made tor the maintenance of the St. John District Nuising and Ambulance Transport Services. The district nurses visit the sick poor in their homes, and do everything possible to restore them to health, or tf that cannot be done, to alleviate tlieir sufferings. The transport officers are always ready, at any hour of the day or night, to respond to any call made on behalf of the sick or injured, to remove them to the hospital or their homes in one of the up-to-date ambulances, which have been sneciallv built with all modern appliances to ensure the comfort of patients To maintain these splendid services and procure another ambulance which is urgently required, the sum ol £“ 000 is needed. Please send a donation to the honorary secretary, Ambulance Station, Rutland Street, or contribute at the street collection on Friday, November 4.
