The estate of the late Earl of Iveagh, who was head of the brewing firm of Guinness, will probably be sworn for probate as of the value of £11,000,000. The estate duty will be £4,400,000. Under his will the property is divisible between the three sons of the late peer. The Elveden Hall Estate in Suffolk will accompany the title, and the residue is settled on the sons and their children as life income. Legacies include a gift of £60,000 to the King Edward VII. Hospital Fund, and the income from £65,000 to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, and from £125,000 to the poorer Protestant clergy in Ireland. Pictures to the value of £300,000 are bequeathed in the form of a public gallery in the mansion at Ken Wood, the public park in North London.
