VICE REGAL VISIT
SHORT STAY IN AUCKLAND
GOVERNOR-GENERAL ARRIVES TO-MORROW
To carry out public engagements in Auckland. their Excellencies, the Governor-General and Lady Alice Fergusson, will arrive to-morrow morning to take up residence at Government House. The visit will be a short one, and their Excellencies will leave for Wellington on Sunday evening. They will be accompanied by Lady Augusta Inskip, the sister of Lady Alice, and by Captain Orr Ewing, A.D.C. The visitors’ book at oGvernment House will not be opened during the stay. Sir Charles will attend the annual founders’ day of the Diocesan High School, Epsom, to-morrow afternoon, and he will open the Beresford Street Congregational Church school on Saturday afternoon. In the evening he will open the new premises of the Officers’ Club. Lady Alice is to attend the opening of the Sketch Club’s exhibition on Saturday evening.
